Aeo3 Sales Manager Beta Testers
by S.K. Leng on Dec.26, 2009, under Announcements
A few people have emailed us about Aeo3 Sales Manager and were interested in testing it in their new business.
While we are confident of the fundamental core systems, we believe in giving users the best experience possible in the final release. So, we’ve accepted a few more beta testers and engaging in more extensive shakedown.
Recent new beta testers for Aeo3 Sales Manager include a butcher shop, a film processing and development studio, a gift shop and a frozen food wholesaler.
We do not expect this application to fit perfectly into everyone’s requirements, but we are glad to receive constructive feedbacks and ideas.
Did i mention this is a free application?

Aeo3 Sales Manager Beta Release
by S.K. Leng on Dec.11, 2009, under Announcements
After months of re-designing and re-engineering the core systems, it is officially release in beta, primarily for hardware manufacturers.
Aeo3 Sales Manager is a FREE standalone Point of Sales application for small businesses, with features specifically aimed at small retail merchants or home-based operations. Many advance and more complicated features were not rolled into this version due to limited resources. Yes. This is a FREE software.
A few clients have started deploying it in their retail outlets with this beta release. While do not recommend this, but the fundamental system engines and core functionalities have been tested.
Some minor features such as Report paper size, Taxes & Fees in sales and others are still being tweaked and tested. The application features have been in lock-down since Alpha version, which we released to limited users in early October 2009.
Uninstalling this beta release will not remove the actual Data files. Future installations will reconnect with it as is.
We expect the software to leave Beta classification as the final version some time in February 2010.
Aeo3 HD Smart Lite – Requested Features
by S.K. Leng on Nov.21, 2009, under Announcements
We have received emails regarding some features or improvements some folks like to see in Aeo3 HD Smart Lite.
Here are 2 ideas we are considering for the next update. Probably together with the official release of the Aeo3 HD Smart Pro version… or maybe beforehand. Aeo3 HD Smart Pro will be ABSOLUTELY FREE!!
1 • A minimized to System Tray feature with only hard disk temperature and Red-Yellow-Green indicator.
2 • A user said he only likes to know the Health of the Hard Disk and would like to see less SMART info.
Great!
Keep the ideas coming on how this Aeo3 HD Smart Lite can serve you best!
If you got any ideas please write in. We are always interested in what you have to say.

Applications in the Works

What’s cooking…
Aeo3 Sales Manager
This Freeware is in the final phase of development before a beta release. It will not be an official launch, but a release to hardware manufacturers for testing and fine tuning, which will last for another month.
Aeo3 HD Access Monitor
Well, this FREE security software has just been announced. The application concept is fairly simple – tells you when someone has accessed your data with or without your computer powering on. We think it will be extremely helpful to detect unauthorized computer access and data theft in offices.
Aeo3 HD Smart
This is a followup from Aeo3 HD Smart Lite. We working on the User Interface and trying to balance the cool factor and functionality, while avoiding information overload. Like the Lite version, it will be FREE!
Super excited!
Aeo3 Tech Articles site is up
by S.K. Leng on Oct.28, 2009, under Announcements
Aeo3 Tech Articles, a repository for documentations, articles, guides, faqs, tutorials and occasional editorials is finally up and running.
It will primarily be for software manuals, tutorials and some frequent asked questions.
The other day, someone asked me why keep a site, a blog and a content management system (cms) running parallel, when i could just roll everything into the cms.
The main site Aeo3.com is manually coded without any major complexities. It’s simple, yet it gives me maximum flexibility on how the site will look like.
I also like the idea that once things are compartmentalized, even if the cms or blog is down for upgrade or maintenance, the main site is still up and running. It was important for me to have the main site and blog online when i take the cms offline for upgrade.
The blog is mainly focused on my work, thoughts on projects and general stuff that goes on internally. I wanted nothing too serious, fairly easy to use and maintain.
Originally, the content management system was not planned, but i came to realize that Aeo3 needs an organized way to manage all the training materials and software documentations – easy to add, keep track of and update. Why later, when i could do it now. It would also be a great place to talk about the technologies and the computer industry in general… when time allows.
Check it out at Tech.Aeo3.com
Super!

Aeo3 Tech Articles
by S.K. Leng on Oct.23, 2009, under Announcements
A repository for Aeo3 articles is almost done.
It will predominantly be a collection of articles related to reliable and secure computing, Aeo3 software tutorials, manuals, how-tos and what-is type of articles. Occasionally, will have some editorial on topics related to the tech industry and what is happening.
Will have to test drive for a week or so before releasing it.
Can’t wait!
